i have been looking at full tower cases for a little while now, and frankly i am dissappointed, most of the cases that i have looked at don't leave much room for air cooling options without major surgery, and frankly i don't want to spend 160-200 bucks on a case that i am going to be ripping apart and cutting holes in it as soon as it reaches my door, i had tha brilliant idea to make my own case, i am going to rip most of the stuff that would be hard to fabricate in my basement, hard drive racks ect. making my own power switches and fan control system

i am planning to make it out of clear/black plastic, i was wondering if anyone had done this before ????

no one that I know of....if you haven't looked at the addtronics line of cases, take a look...you might save yourself some time. :)
Here they are (http://www.addtronics.com).

that is what i am planning to do, the sides of the case will be see thru, the front is going to be black plastic, i am just wondering if i can make it entirely out of plastic except for a few prefab pieces, i mean don't i need an all metal case for static or something

This is Bdf24's case. I really liked it and found the link.

Metal cases do dissipate heat better, but that is all.

You might want to check out a case gallery like virtualhideout.net.

Lexan can be purchased at most hardware and glass stores.

So I've seen posts and sites talk about using the Roto-zip bits in the Dremel tools, would the metal-cutting rotozip bit work to cut out the shape for the window?

Also on the instructions for the window kit, it says to put the window where I want it, use the washer to mark the case where to cut and then cut that out. Only thing is, won't that make the hole for the window a bit bigger then what it should be?

i usually use a hole saw when citting out a hole for a fan, it gives you a perfect hole, the perfect size, every time, the only thing is, that they are kind of expensive, i suggest getting a adjustible width hole saw, about 50 bucks but you can cut holes from 40mm up to 150mm, sweet
