Okay, most of you have probably helped me recently in my last post i made in here....it was long and no longer on topic, so i'm going to stop reviving it.
At the time, i've decided to try making the jump from high end air to low end water. with no job, this is hard. i want to keep the entire thing under $100, but its not looking good...so right now i'm just looking for the cheapest effective watercooling setup.
So far, i've become interested in the following.
D tek spiral Waterblock
Via Aqua 1300 pump
Unpainted Pro-120 Core
Clearflex tubing from McMaster
home depot stuff
I'm still unsure about the radiator, its $30 which is a bit much. Lots of people have told me to go with the chevette '86 core, but i cant get that for less than 26, and it has one 1/2 barb and one 3/8...whats up with that?
What would be perfect is a relatively large heatcore thats inexpensive. i have room for a 17" by 5" radiator, with about an inch extra clearance if its not perfect.
i'd like to keep this quiet, as quiet is my main reason for doing this. Quietness and a new project...a reason to break out the dremel and take the barbs off where i cut my grilles.
so yeah. its like 3 hours later now and i'm finally getting to post this. stupid dialup. Gr.
