Positive displacement pumps! Has anyone tried using one? Just dial in a flowrate and hope your fittings don't blow off! Maybe a small Wankel rotor operating as a pump...or a dual rotor setup in parallel to smooth the flow.

Just crazy talk, I guess. Still, it does bring up funny mental pictures of some guy ripping the 13B out of a junked RX-7, converting it to a pump, and stashing it under his desk to run his rig.
 
uuhh... aren't those like 1000gpm; 1000psi?
you'll need to switch to thick copper tubing, thats for sure.
 
Kind of a cool screw-type pump Cathar had there. Wonder if he ever ran a loop with that sucker.

Too practical, though. I like the sheer craziness of using a sportscar engine as a pump. :burn:
