Man, whats the point of having a high end computer, and barely having any games you want. I've been waiting and waiting for a COOL street racing game on PC  Need for Speed underground was pretty good, but the tuning part was just crap. I want something like Gran Turismo in the street racing scene. There was this cool Nitto racing game that you can DL for free that had something like that, but it still wasnt deep enough for me :( Doesnt look like ones coming out anytime soon either. Juiced looks pretty cool, but its a console game, along with UG II.

I liked Midnight Club 2. Just make sure you have a controller, or it's hell trying to play with the keyboard.

midnight club 2 is a great game although it will most definitely make your blood boil. its frustrating, to say the least.

also, TOCA 2 is alright, although it isnt a street racer

There's nothing hickish about these trucks. These trucks are designed to be raced.

And last time I checked, Mercedes Benz wasn't manufactured in North America ;)

Those are Mercedes trucks; generally, "redneck" trucks are made in North America, those are not, they're German, if I'm not mistaken.

if you're willing to try something other then street racing, you should try f1 2002 or f1 challenge. there is a huge amount of stuff to change around, but it takes time to get used to the handling/game.

i found this game to be the most challenging in racing games since there is no margin for error in a race.

What about juiced, I just installed the demo and it seems good.

I would go with Toca 2  , it's pretty nice game, I can't say anything about physics because I'm not a race driver  , but It seems to be pretty real. I had TOCA race driver, and it rocked! I suggest you download demo and see for yourself. I also like the looks of these two games, one of them is russian. http://ag.ru/?gallery?13756?91747 this is the first one and it looks pretty crappy, just scroll down and click on the image that you want to display http://www.ag.ru/?gallery?13660?86425 this is the russian game :attn: .

Midnight Outlaw Illegal Street Drag Nitro Edition is horrible, don't even buy it or download it. It's one of those Value games that suck. Juiced is Ok, the demo seems pretty buggy though and while the car skins look great....The track looks as if they slapped it together in a few days. Wait for Need For Speed 2 to come out as I've heard it concentraits more on realistic tuning. Don't hate on Imports people Lol

i can vouch for toca2 aswell. there is some street racing, but this game is good because it does justice to many types of auto\truck racing. there is also damage, which makes it a tad more challenging.

I like the replay in TOCA as well. And there is a hell of a damage you can do to your car. I like when your exhaust get damaged and the sound changes. It's a really cool game. :D

Oni is absolutely correct. ALL European semi-trucks, be it Mercedes or Volvo, have those flat front, liftable cabins whereas the US used to have them for a bit but as the fad went away so did the style. Why you might ask do they use such trucks, the reasons are quite simple. European cities are littered with tight and tiny roads that a truck with an enormous hood could never get in. Anyways, IIRC there is a Mercedes Benz factory somewhere in the US, I know there is a BMW one where they assemble X5s (why do you think my parents get ****ed off at their car because everything in it seems to go wrong afterawhile, American craftsmanship....).

Circuitbreaker, I know it's not on the PC but I am sure you would love Street Racing Syndicate. It looks like it's exactly what you are looking for. Juiced looks good too.

Yeah, SRS looks awesome, I might get that for xbox. If you played the Juiced demo, you know its utter crap. The controls are horrible, and its the most unprofessional thing i've ever played. There is NOOO exit menu!! WTF is that lol!! Also, you cant view or EDIT your controls! And to top it off, the physics are wack, the backgrounds are 2d renders, and its a PS2 port....which means it has AS on ( auto-sh*t ) Lol, the best part is, when you go head on into a wall or something, you cant reverse LOL!! Im gonna wait for NFS:UG2 and SRS, those are gonna rape this POS excuse for a game. I heard you can trick out your sound system in UG2! Like, its going to have DD sound, so basic speakers arnt going to put as much bass or highs. So, when you trick out your sound system, the speakers and stuff will get much deeper and sound better! How sick is that?
