if you install it properly and don't move your case around you will be fine. Many people have installed "safety ropes" and such in the event it comes off. I think large zip ties through the four holes in AMD motherboards will help a lot.

I've had my Glaciator since early July and have had no regrets. at 710grams this thing is no feather, but as long as it doesn't wiggle and you don't move your case around a lot, you should be fine. But that Zip-tie idea isn't a bad one, I'll probably do it this weekend.

I know that song...my CAK38 broke off the hook on the socket on my motherboard! Isn't there somewhere you can get the clip where you screw it onto the motherboard? They should really include them, or at least use all three clips with the new copper HSFs...

i got my ocz gladiator the other day...it is VERY heavy...but i don't think its going to fall off, has a strong clip. (and man is it a #$*(#$ to get on) cpu temp has gone down 15C :)

Well I bought a dragon orb3 and that things is HEAVY as well. Swear I could easily knock someone out if I hit them over the head with it. I will diffinitely affix a "safety rope" for it as I can't afford to replace parts due a HSF killing something. Hrmm, upon inspecting it safety rope be hard to install without affecting the fan...unless it can be attacked tot he clip itself... it uses all three clips so I would think it isn't going anywhere.
