Is Arctic Silver II Thermal Compound the best or a good goop to put between the HS and my CoreCPU? It's only 7 bucks so I wonder if it's a fake or somthing because people say this stuff is expensive

It really works. ASII has silver particles in the grease to help conduct heat. I saw a 2 to 3 degree C drop in temps by using ASII.

It's only expensive in relation to the alternatives. You can get a tube of silicone zinc oxide thermal compound at Radio Shack for about $2. Suggested retail on ASII is about $9. It's well worth it if you're concerned about temps.

I agree with the others.

Arctic Silver II, really is the best thermal compound you can buy. (To my knowledge.) If the extra $5 means you'll get a degree or two better temps. Isn't it worth it?

I'd say yes. Especially, if you're going for the best overclock possible. Hedge your bets.

I actaully knew it was the best, thanx anyway guys. I was just wondering why people say it's expensive, now I know, I was jsut worried its fake, I read somewhere on thier site you can buy fake stuff and if it comes in a wierd looking tube its fake. What Fan would you say is the best as an cpu axail intake? Sanyo Denki 92x25 43.8 CFM 3 Pin? Some1 told me this is is the best but its only 43.8 cfm, I've seen other 92mm that cost less and give more cfm? is there somthing I'm missing in this picture?
