I've got a buddy with a dell system that's a slot 1 P3 700 he just bought some new memory from crucial but got the PC133 CL=2, will that work in his system that soposedly only supports PC100?:eek:
Yes it will work.
You can run faster memory slower without a problem.

it should run without a hitch. Some computers will not take it but a system that new will be fine. The memory will just be ready before the computer is ready which is not a big deal at all. Should be happy, thats good ram.
I just threw 256MB of Kingston ValueRAM(PC133) in my PII 400MHz, I even removed my old PC100 RAM, so there wouldn't be a conflict. No Problems try www.tweakfiles.com and get something called "CacheMan", it helps you monitor and tweak out your memory.
