Is it a good Idea to run the PC100 at high FSB speeds?
Am I playing with fire they do get warm but that is all?
The setting are FSB 134 @ CL 3-3-3......
I ran some a bench and it is hitting the 133 marks and then some...

I just don't want to fry the mem....I have ddr board coming soon but I was playing around with my A7V D700 and PC100 384MB.

And found that the mem runs at 133 Mhz bench says 134Mhz.

Anyone done this before and Can I smoke this MEM this way?

;)

No it wont burn out only cause crashes if it dosent like running at the speed.
If you raise the memory voltage then you might burn it out.

You aren't going to break anything but I am surprised that 100 memory is running at 134 even with your cas / ras settings at 3. Like Placid said running it faster won't burn it out it will just cause crashes if it can't handle the extra speed.

You know this mem has been in my machine for 3 months to a year. I never thought of running it as PC133 till now and I looked at the mem tonight and it says it is PC100 CL2 Major Brand the chips are not anything special....I don't think.

Man it is funny how you mess around and find out things new everyday......O/C it has to be a way of life.

Looking for ways to put a little of Tim Talor the Tool Man in everything. If I can just figure out how to hook up the 350 out of truck to my computer?
:D
