Palm M100 Converting to Unix/Linux + Other Q

okey i have a old Palm M100, and i want to use it for something here is my list, what i would like from the community is your help to find the tools and or guides to do what i want with this thing.

my main quest was to get it running linux/unix i read allot of post/guides but it never seems to work on the M100 so I'm wondering if theres anyone who succeeded in doing so.

2nd was to install a pdf viewer so i can upload some documents
3rd was to make it into a universal remove, i was able to do that with a free version of OmniRemote but you need to program the keys it came with a list of know commands, but if i was to transform this palm into a linux "box" there would be no need to make it into a remote unless your able to install the plugins/palm software

and 4th was to enable it to get my email via imap/infrared.

if you have info on how to do this on linux and if i were to find a guide then great but if not help on how to do it with the current palm os would be of great help also, figure why let it die there when i could use it for something practical.

if I remember right the m100's are a llittle too old to be installing Linux. Weren't the m100's just a glorified calculator?

No the M100 is more of a glorified pocket filler.

the M100 is far to old to do most of the stuff you want, it definatly does not have the ram power to become a PDF viewer, I am impressed if you did get it to work as a Universal remote since mine only has a 2 meter range with the infrared, though I don't like the Palm OS, I have to give it Credit, it runs on some low end hardware and gives some nice looking stuff inspite. *nix can't match it.

ahh bummer...guess i will ebay for a new one, and sell this one...just wanted to do something with it...besides looking at it whille i type....lol
