if i want to lap my ww, should i start at 800 since it is already lapped at 600??
or should i start somewhere else?
thanks

I'd start at 600, maybe even 400. When I got my WW from Dtek, I started out with 600, and after a few strokes I could tell that the surface was very non-planar. An hour and a half lapping the WW really made me appreciate the finish on my MCW50. :)

If it's terrible some people even start at 220. You shouldn't have to do that though. I usually start at 400, then to 600, then 800, then to 1000.

i started at 330 on my sp-94 and went up to 2000 and it came out great, took about 2 and half hours, but i think on the ww im going to start at 600 since it is a very thin base

thanks
