I am reading all this stuff about power supplies now. I just got an enlight case with a 300W power supply. I bought an Asus7M266 and a 1.4 thunderbird. Is this going to be enough power to overclock my system Bus to close to 150-mhz? I also have a glaciator HS/F and Corsair pc2400 ram.

Only the following Enlight 340W supplies are certified for a 1.4 GHz Athlon:
EN-8341931 ATX-340,
EN-8341731 ATX-340C,
EN-8341934 HPC-340-101 Rev C0

These 300W Enlight’s are certified for a 1.2 GHz Atlon:
EN-8304942 HPS-300-101 Rev C,
EN-8341731 ATX-340C

All you can do is give it a try. If you don’t have too many drives in your box and don’t overclock, it might be OK. But if you start experiencing any unexplained instabilities, go for at least a 350W Antec. It has ratings of 33A on the +5V rail and 20A on the +3.3V rail. The old 300W PS I replaced could only provide 25A on the +5V rail and 16A on the 3.3V rail. With it, my 1.4 GHz Athlon system wouldn’t even post. Check your PS for the amperage ratings on the +5V and +3.3V outputs.
