Hi everyone!

I'm running a TB 900, not clocked, and it's working very well. However, to reduce noise and vibrations I've started running my Fop32-fan on 7V. Due to MBM5, my CPU-tempurature raised from 40/43 -> 45/47 (celsius). My system temp, is about 32 C.

Now the questions:
1.) Do you think the temperatures are okay?
2.) How reliable is the sensor that meassures CPU-temperature? I've heard that it usually shows about 10 C to low. Do you know if that regards my mobo (Epox 8KTA3) to
3.) I've seen a formula, with which you can calculate your CPU:s life-span, when knowing the CPU temperature. Does anyone knos this?
4.) How does the C/W change when running the fan on Fop32 on 7V instead of 12V?

Would be grateful if anyone knows!
Thanks!

Oh Yeah, one more question :)
Do you think I can run my TB 900 on 1,5 V instead of 1,75 V. I'm not going to overclock this CPU.

Hi zer0,
your temps seems to be good, but more depends by your ambient temps. On my TB1200@1400Mhz 1.775v with the same cooler is around 57-58 degree C with an ambient of 30-35C @full load with Folding@home 24/7.

About Q2, generally they works fine, and I don't know of probs on the thermal sensor of Epox Mobo, but it's foundamental that it touch the back of your chip.

Q 3&4, really I don't know ;-)

Yes, you can undervoltage your chip if remain rock stable.

My ambient is around 30C as well I run 1.2GHz T-Bird at its default speed of 1200 with a Mini Super Orb cooler the temps when idle are 52-53C on full load 56 - 57C is it ok?

Yes, but you can't Oc it with those temps, probably is better to choose another kind of cooler, the Orb's are know for not good performance around OC world.
I'm thinking to go with a SK6 soon as possible to gain higher OC, coz my mem module works fine @150Mhz Cas2.

I hope it helps you ;-)
