I just ordered a abit kg7 and I haven't bought any ram for it yet, so my question is what is the best brand for DDR 2400?also can any one elaborate on why its better to only run one stick of corsair 2400??I never heard this with any other kind of ram....
Corsair and Mushkin are the most popular 2400 ddr.
Crucial thou not rated 2400 will usually do 150+mhz.
The higher the amount memory the harder it is to overclock as high.
If the amount of memory is equal 2x128mb or 1x256mb its better to use the 1x256mb because of the physical extra traces & socket connection.
This is being very picky thou the difference will probably be small perhaps 2-3mhz.

Thanks placid, I just decided to go with the 256 crucial 2100 its cheap enough cant really go wrong:D
What kind of performance gains could you expect using the PC2600 versus the PC2100 with the Abit KG7-RAID ???

None unless you overclock for all it's worth. PC2700 DDR memory is no different than any other memory other than the fact it tested at 166MHz FSB. Crucial PC2100 that can do 166MHz FSB would be considered PC2700 memory. Same goes with PC2400...it's just PC2100 that can run at 150MHz FSB.
