:bang head

My 9800 is dying or just not working right cause after playing any game for a prolonged period of time (over 30 minutes) I get artifacts and crash to desktop.

Is it worth for me to save money for a x800 you think, or should I stay with the older cards like the nv30 generation or another 9800. This has made me so mad, gonna have to save up for a new card

sounds to me like your system is getting too hot. what are your temps? if your running too hot that will happen. try taking the side off the case and pointing a house fan at the inside, then play a game and see if it still crashes. that will let you know if it's too hot in there.

that sounds like a heat issue to me too...if i had a job i'd gamble and offer to buy it from you for pretty cheap, but i dont and cant afford to lose a gamble :p

i say get a used 9800pro. they are the best bang for the buck in the high end now.
