Okay so I'm getting my new case soon, already got the light and window kits, just kinda nervous about cutting into that side of the case heh. Although if I do mess it up the case is only $18, it was the power supply that cost me $90!! I've been asking questions all week but I'll ask again, any tips for diong the cutting? I have a dremel and can get a metal-bit for the RotoZip that I could use. As well as I have access to a jig-saw and can purchase a fine toothed (that's what I want right?) metal cutting blade. I'm just worried about making the hole too big/too small and having a giant hole in the side of my box heh. Hopefully I'll get my digi-cam back and when it's done I'll post some pics.
Wish me luck!

You'll be ok.. If you read the instructions that will come with your window kit..it probably will use the window itself along with a pencil and washer to trace the cutting line on the case. I've read an article that used that technique along with the big rubber seal that fits between the case and glass. After its all done you'll be saying.., "man that was easy...whats next?" :p

yeah that's exactly what I got, a window, a washer and the rubber gasket. Hopefully you're right..

It's always that first cut that's the worst. But once you've started cutting the hole, and you can't turn back, then the zen of case modding takes over. Just remember an old carpenter's rule: measure twice, cut once.

Or in my case, measure four times and cut once. Re-measuring may be a bit of a pain, but once that steel is gone--it's gone.
Good luck, Wiseass! Just take it real slow and you'll be fine.

i thought it was measure once, cut once, patch with duct tape, smile with all the time you saved ;D
Seriously just be patient, take your time, and all should be well. if all else fails, get a larger window
