I want to put this (http://www.xoxide.com/yire.html) where the side 80mm fan would go, So it peeks out a little.

I'll have to do some dremeling, other than that how would i go about this?

I have that same case, heh. That res sure costs alot.
I'm sure it would looke nice though, but the way it would go on the whole thing would either be on the outside or it would be in the inside and you wouldnt even see the symbol. Thing is, i'm not sure if the plexi or acrylic whatever the side is made of can hold that res. Good luck.... :(

I think it's because it's a res/pump :D . but yes it does cost alot :temper: .

Of course the first thing to do is remove the blade fan grill. Then I would look into attacking it with either rivets or short screws which might be hidden behind the main cross structure. If that won't work, you can always use 2-part epoxy or bondo to attack it to the side of the case. The bondo would probably make it easy to get a well finished and complete look after the install.

My only question is are you going to actually use this for water cooling? If so, how are you planning on running the hoses?

Your lookin at about a 21.6mm increase in hole diameter, I'm not sure if the metal around the hole is wide enough to still look good and/or support the weight of the res/pump.

I've never water cooled before, so if i'm a total n00b, please forgive me in advance,

Design 1.- In this design the tubes are inside the case with the reservoir popped out a little, the proportions are off, though...

Design 2. I mount it with the tubes on the outside going into the case through holes, Again proportions are off.

I attatched jpegs, i think.

You can do that, if you never want to take the side panel off again. I would cut a hole in the front for it. It would look cooler.

Oh.... oops... uhh... Design 2. should have 3/8" connectors on each side.

I'm sorry i won't be doing this mod... It's too hard to find the res.
I'll be water cooling though.

Heheh well in that case.... about the window being flimsy. I have some old pc cases i'll use the steel from it so when i pull off my window the steel is holding it up. I'll buy everything but the res&pump. oh, BTW is that pump strong? I want to cool my Video card too. Sry for image quality i used MScrayon.

as cool as that looks I rather have my pump and reservoir seperate...

I think i'll abandon this project, not for difficulty, I'm just starting to not like it.

No. As far as I know those pumps are junk. You could try taking the pump out of it, and just use it as a res. I think that's a bad idea though. You would be better off making your own res that fits in an 80mm fan hole. Here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=304301) is a nice custom built one. In the 13th post there is a link to a pic of it mounted to his case.

I'll probly just go with a dual 3.5 res. heh, I don't use floppys.

If you still want a image on it got to your local sticker shop and they will make you one for like 5 bucks and itll look just as good....

Or i could dremel some sheet metal and paint for free. Thanks for the idea though :)
Heheh i'll use the window design from my case!
