Ok, looking at AMD 1.4g (266) Tbirds ...
Here we have it for $112.
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=41&manufactory=1028
And here it's $199

Is Newegg just that good of a deal or am I missing something?

woops, I see this was covered in another thread :)
$112 is a current competative price.
New egg is a good place to buy cpu's.
That other place needs to get with current pricing.

I suggest spending 9 more bucks and get the AYHJA stepping if you hope to get good overclcoking out of it, 1.4 is known to hit 1.6-1.8 but not many get beyond 1.65 with the normal, if you want to try to get 1.7 the only way is a good step [as well as a good motherboard]

cool, thats dirt cheap. I'm looking forward to switching over to AMD, sounds like prices are more reasonable and speed is abundant over there. lol
