i got 4 sticks of this for $60-30 rebate each
so that'll make up a cheap 2 gig system (if the rebates come through!!) :)
the problem being i dunno whether these ram will do at least pc3200
since the old days of finding hynix D43 or BH-5/6 are almost over... i didn't expect much when i bought these ram
out of the 4 sticks... there are two kinds of markings....
one being...
D3208DL5T-5 0417PT01
the other one is
V79439
0420 P01
D3208Dl5R-6
both of these sticks have the kingston brand remarked on there.... so who knows
unfortunately i wont get to test out these ram until next wk :(
any1 have recent experiences w/ these ram they wanna share? plz post them!!!

How did you get 4? It was one per household. I had 4 of my friends all buy one online and they arent shipping till the 16th. Today they canceled all the orders because they said it was a pricing error.
I went to the store and they wouldnt honor the online price.

wut is the marking on your ram?
please post it if u can plz!!!
fireburster, since the 59.98 price showed up on OfficeMax.com before 6/6, i went to the store n pricematched one, and then went to bestbuy store and pricematched with them, and since they have a 30 dollar rebate during the wk, i assume gettin it for 60-30 should be valid, since the bestbuy rebate form did not state that pricematching would void the PM.... looks like Kingston is handling the rebate on this one instead of BestBuy itself... the guy working at BestBuy who did the PM for me said the rebate should still come through... but who knows :eh?:
i hope these ram i got would clock faster than 178..... if it doesnt i guess i will have to take them back =/ 178FSB is hard to work with in conjuction w/ a 3.0C if i wanna OC

whoa thanks
that's a good site there
I got my Kingston Valueram PC2700 over a year ago and it has BH-6. I'm testing it now to see how tight I can get the timings at 202FSB. 2-3-3-11 runs fine at 2.85V. Prime95 errors after about 20 minutes at 2-2-2-11. So I raised the voltage to 2.96V and its priming past 20 minutes, maybe it'll be stable at this voltage.
Hey, I managed to get the same deal by pricematching to their site (b4 they removed it) and then went online and filled out the 20 dollar rebate. Weird thing about this module is that there are no chip markings at all on it......mystery chips I guess.

My value 2700 is @ 208MHZ... Have been to 220MHZ but not prime stable. 3T 5 5 10 are my current settings (MB choosen), at 2.8V. Any suggestions?? When I get home I'll post the chip type (at work right now).

My kvr333:
0330
D3208DI1R-06
Stable at 190 2.7v. 3-4-4-8 timings
At 200 I get artifacts in 3dmark(!?).
If I had more voltage to give them. I could probably reach 200+. But the timings still suck..

yeah after a while I thought lets see if I can get mine to a 200fsb, and I could, checking for prime stability, as for the artifacting I'll see if my fx5200 does that. Dawiper is your AGP mhz locked?

Nice job on the pricematch. I went to officemax on sunday and the manager wouldnt pricematch the web of his own company!

edit: ~200 cpc on, cpc off cl3 ~215. a lil lower @ cl3 cpc on (havent tested).

Yes it is. Nforce2 you know. Also tried 200 fsb and 166 mem. And the artifacts went away.
Fireburster, that really sux that you couldn't pricematch. I didn't even have to deal with the manager, just the cashier. I am surprised that he didn't pricematch even though in the pricematch guarantee is clearly states that if you find a cheaper price on their webpage you can match that price in-store  I thought that might happen to me so I brought the price match policy with me.

ya its tough to beat 2 gig of memory for 140 after rebates!! :p
only if bestbuy rebates come through tho :eh?:
Well, I did a bit of testing with these mystery chips and they can run at ddr333 with 6-2-2-2 timings 2.5vdimm, and could boot with these timings up to 185. But I am on an nf2 IGP motherboard right now so that seems to be limiting them (using the onboard video as well so the chipset can't reach 200 anyway). I am using this board cause I am waiting to get the new nf7-s2g when it comes out cause my old nf7 died. If I can finally get my 9700 pro into this sff (usually use a mid tower, but this is all I got till I can get a new board) to turn off the onboard vid I should be able to get a higher fsb.

I believe that the bh-6, Kingston relabeled, will end in 60 instead of 50. Check out the link below, which is a discussion of these chips, as used in the PC3000.
