i alreadt tried using a #2 pencil but it wouldnt work.........tried to raise multiplier to 8.........it wouldnt boot...........then tried 9 then it booted to 504mhz..........why???

Read one of the debug guildes out there, most of them are pretty good and would save me time listing all the things that could have gone wrong, I would like to help but I need more info. First look at teh FAQs if they don't help come back with all the info such as FSB, motherbaord ur using, ram, bios, chip rev etc...

Here's a suggestion. Once you think you've successfully unlocked the bridges then lower the clock multiple. It just may be that your chip actually has a 750mhz limit (I doubt it but it is technically possible). If it runs lower then you at least know that you've unlocked it properly. Also, like train22 said we'd need a lot more info to try to narrow down the problem.

my mobo is a msi k7t pro2a ........ram - 2 sticks of 64mb pc133 apacer ......video card is generic tnt2 that clocks good but my duron 750 sucks........used to clock it at 818 raising the fsb to 109......and i think it can go higher if i unlock it.......ive tried 4 different #2 pencils but didnt work.........what should i do??? have u tried pencils??? what brand of pencil should i use or is the best for unlocking the processor??

I'm using a penciled 800@1053. I used a generic mechanical pencil, the kind that has replaceable leads. I've never used a MSI socket A board so I don't think I'll be able to help as much as others, sorry.
