i want a tv tuner card so i dont have to have a tv to play an xbox. I thought about the ATI TV Wonder VE, but a guy who has it said its ok for tv, but it sucked for console gaming. I dunno many others besides a brand called "happauge" or something like that. Just give me some good brands/models to compare.

I've got a winfast tv2000 XP it was $50 at newegg and the picture looks good enough for me. There are better cards out there but they'll cost alot more.

id like to stay $80 or under. I can get a Ati TV Wonder Pro for $80, so thats my budget limit. But I was just wondering if maybe theres a better tv card for $80 out there

i got that too, i hooked up my ps2 to it and the picture wasnt too good and there was like a 1 second delay, so i wouldnt advise getting this card for console gaming. you could just buy a 19 inch tv from walmart for like $99, that will be so much better for your needs

You could try the AVerMedia M150 Media Center Edition 75$ at Newegg
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=15-100-007&depa=1
OR the
Leadtek PVR2000 is about 70$ from Z-buy.com
http://www.z-buy.com/product.asp?item=VG-LPVR2000
.....But there R both OEM MCE 2004 cards so you will need to use a program like myHTPC "Got TV" ( http://myhtpc.net/ )

I've been looking for a video capture card for about a week now and in my search have found a lot of disappointment surrounding those all-in-wonder cards (compared to what else is out there)...also, I think gaming in general is not that great in video capture cards.

I have not played around with "Got TV" too much with my PVR 250 but it works about the same as the Hauppauge software that came with my card.

Here is some more links to free PVR software
Got Tv ---- http://www.gottvpvr.com/
CTpvr ------ http://www.ctpvr.com/
GB-Pvr ---- http://www.gbpvr.com/screenshots.htm (does not support the Leadtek cards yet)

Your going to need something that does the decodeing on the card it's self, not on the computer otherwise your going to get the delay with games. Only one I know that does this are a few of the hauppauge's but they are $$$ :(
