Evercool System Cooler - 100CFM@23dBA

Nexfan has this cooler for $7.50 + shipping. I'm really thinking about picking this up because it moves a crazy amount of air at that low of noise. Anybody have any experience with these?

After looking for some reviews on the net I've decided to cancel my order. They suck air out of the case instead of bringing cool air in like I thought it did. Plus on top of that the vent is facing down so my case would just suck the air right back in. Another lesson in Googling before you order. :bang head

Looks decent, only downside is it appears that dust may be an issue as it enters the system unabated.

well if you reverse the airflow of the case to be in through the back and out through the front, i guess it would work..... but hot air coming out the front,, ugh

i would like for hot air to come out of the front and keep my feet warm my mother keeps the house freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing

Hot air rises, so it wouldn't ever make it down there unless it was pretty powerful and angled towards your feet.

shouldn't you be able to reverse the fan flow anyway?

no, you cant reverse fan flow like you can with regular fans, that is not how blowers work...

you would have to literally turn the entire thing around to reverse the fan flow.

But hey, if it really moves 100CFM with only 23DBA (which i think is BS even for a blower) then that is friggin awesome, i dont understand why people are backing out just because its meant to be used in a specific way...

Were all modders here, im sure we could come up with creative ways to use this blower as it WASNT intended to be =)
