From the title you can guess what I am doing. I was reading Fushyuguru's thread on Fush Zero and it got me to thinking I should put a blowhole on the top of my Lian Li case. The question is, what size holesaw for a 80, 92 and 120mm fan ?

As a Rule, a low rpm quite 120mm fan can move as much if not more air than a high speed LOUD 80mm fan.

To give you an idea, my 80MM Tornado moves 84.1 Cfm @ 55.2 dB at 5700 RPM, my 120mm SilverStone FMC3XW (this is a NICE kit, it comes with 3.5 bay fan controller) moves 103.44 CFM @ 44dB at 3000 RPM.

I like 120's, I always have, but really nice fan grills are harder to come by, and when you find them, you PAY for them too.

I already know that and you didn't answer my question.

80mm = 3.13 inches. I'd use a 3" drill bit
92mm = 3.62 inches. I'd use a 3.5" drill bit
120m = 4.72 inches. I'd use a 4.5" drill bit

The sizes are a bit off, but I'd use a smaller drill bit and then sand or file them to the right size.

For an 80mm fan I use a 72mm hole saw, since hole saws cut a slightly larger hole than what theyre supposed to it seems to be the perfect size, dont forget to clamp a peice of wood under what your cutting into it will make a cleaner cut :D.

I must have been tired as heck last night, I read my post and it had nothing to do with your question, sorry about that :bang head
