This topic heading is great! Frankly, programming and software in general scare me. The posts in this topic really help dispel some of my fear and ignorance. Thank you all for posting here, and thanks to Skip for adding this topic heading!

Ive never try to do any programing and have always steared away because of it..but today I bought a book on "C" to start teaching myself
Good for you! I've been programming (always little stuff) since the days of my mom's C-64. Hooked on BASIC for about 10 years, and then when entering High School, I start learning Pascal. I really wish I were disiplined enough to learn C (and not surf the boards all day :D ).

Wow. Ten years, and you're still in high school. That's amazing.
Little things can make a big difference though, so definitely keep it up!
