Ok, 200fsb, trying to boot 1ghz @ 1.1ghz on an asus a7v. right after it does the pci device listing, it usually goes into the win2k bootloader. instead it waits awhile then gives me a General Protection Fault Error...what's causing this?

Welcome to the Forums! :) Could be a lot of things. Were you able to boot at 1.1G via FSB adjustments before you closed the bridges? Are you able to boot at the default speed? If you have tried going to default memory settings and other various tweaks and nothing worked, you might try clean off the bridges and penciling them again.

You might want to try using a mechanical pencil. I found the tiny lead diameter easier to use than a regular pencil. Some people say they won't work but I used one on my Duron 750 about 4 months ago and I'm still okay. Just take your time. Pencil one bridge a few times, stop, blow off the excess lead, pencil again, blow again, etc. Good Luck...you're bound to get it sooner or later! :)

because you have a PCI device that doesn't work (or more than 1) at 200FSB, that is really high and that is what happens when you do that, Try taking out all pci cards or I think if you boot in safe mode that should do the job too, Also your RAM and AGP card may be the problem but this seems like a PCI error. To actaully solve this all you need to do is lower it slowly till you find your sweetspot, then add you ur multiplier and maybe Volts, do a burn in and then a final roundup.

Good Luck
