I have an a7v with the 1 gig T-bird with the pensil trick to unlock my cpu the only problem is that my multple only worked to 11 when i go to 12.5 the cpu speed does not change.. Is this because the pensil trick only lasted a day and just stayed at the speed I had it at.... I know this board is not the best for overclocking but for now itz all I have....

Possibly the pencil lead wore off.... try a window deffoger kit to connect the bridges... or an electrical pen @ radioshack. Btw your cpu might be unstable @ anything higher then 11x multiplier so it might not even be the pencil wore off.

Are you changing the multiplier in bios or via the dipswitches?
If by the bios, make sure you exit with the "save changes".
Also, try the FSB at 100 with 11.5 and 12.0 and see if it changes.

I use the switches right now and I will try the 100 bus and see if it changes...Think it might work if i use the bios insead ?
Sorry, I gave you a bit of misinformation.
The A7V WON'T allow multiplier changes in the bios, only the frequency (FSB)
Try setting the thing by the dipswitches. The block of 4 switches is the FSB, set that to 100 to start. Then change the bank of 6 switches to 11.5 and see if it boots.
You need to have the JEN set to "JUMPER" mode.
