I have a 3 PC home network. One pc I use for back up and storage. When I try to copy files over the network, It reboots. UGHHHH!

What gives?

Is it bluescreening or just hard rebooting? If it's bluescreening, it's more likely to be a driver, configuration or NIC problem. Hard reboots, I'd suspect either RAM or PSU first.

Hard rebooting. Ill check out the RAM right away, but how do I troubleshoot the PSU? could be that it is underpowered?

THANKS!!

It may be. You can log the voltages using Motherboard Monitor 5:

replace your NIC. if its onboard, put a pci in and replace it.

Try andacess the remote files. i had a linksys card that i got brand new, took me 2 years to figure out i needed protocols to share files (win98, back when 10base was fast) and another 2 months to realise the card i had was bad. no need ot say, warentee was gone too.
