I was painting some old plastic parts for my next project and I noticed a few bumps I went ahead and try to sand them out but it was a no go. They are little nicks in various sizes what would you guys recommend to fill these little gaps?

The only thing I can think of is Spot puddy that is used for filling in small dimples in bondo, I used to use it in auto shop in high school.
Nearly any auto parts store should have it and its pretty cheap too, might want to grab a tube and see if it will help you out.

depending on how deep they are you could probably fill them with a few coats of brush on primer with sanding inbetween coats

Hmmm they are not that deep so Im going to try that brush on primer that sounds like it could work well in my situation..thanks.

no problem, i do alot of painting, refinishing, and used to do guitars. thats how i would fill the imperfections in the wood of the guitar bodies before i would laquer or imron them. after a brush on primer and a 400 grit sanding id spray on a primer and give it a 800 grit then a 1000 grit. talk about a perfectly smooth finish.
