i just got a dremel and a flex shaft today and i was using it for about 10 minutes and i touched it and it was very hot.
i was just wondering if this is normal or do i have a bad one?

Its normal at high RPMs. Just make sure you keep your hands away from the vents, as you will block the air flow.

don't put bends over 90 deg or you will burnt right through your shaft!
the shaft was not intended for labour intensive high RPM work. let it cool down once in a while...

good, thats what ive been doing with flexshaft, as soon as base gets hot I let it cool. I have more time than money, so I can wait to be safe.
