View Full Version : Could I drill into this?
I want to add another blowhole to my case. I want to do it on the plexiglass uptop:

Would using a hand drill with an 80mm hole peice scratch the glass around it? Or is it safe to use?

mask it off surrounding the going to be hole.. use a smaller bit to make a "pilot hole" drilling it and then drill the hole..
Do it slowly.. slower means less chance of breaking... if its got a high and low gear setting (my cordless makita does), use the low gear.. which means more torque, slower speeds. too many rpm and it will lead to kick back or cracking..
TAKE IT SLOW..
Good luck man....

The holesaw already has a drill bit for a guidr so he will not need to drill a hole first. Place the PG on a sheet of wood and drill into that so you can be sure not to flex and break the PG. Also if you drill it too fast then you will cause melting.
