How do i find out what frame rate im running at in quake 2?

easy question for an old quake2 freak like me

just open your console and enter the keyword "timerefresh". the player is going to do a 360° turn and then the fps on this position is written out

I wouldn't bother with timerefresh really... it aint that accurate, if you have a fast system, use the 'noclip' command, go up into the sky and timerefresh it'll get like 4000fps on a fast system :)

Best thing to do, to average out ur FPS, is do this at the console:

timedemo 1
map demo1.dm2

then it'll run

you can also try demo2.dm2, crusher.dm2 (good test back in the day) and massive1.dm2 but you might need to download those last 2 from somewhere. If you can't find them, email me and I'll send them for you and tell ya where they should go.
