View Full Version : How to replace burned out LEDs in Antec TrueBlue 480 PSU?
How do i replace burned out LEDs in my TrueBlue 480 PSU?
What materials do I need to replace them?
Ive looked at the 5mm 4000mcd blue leds and resistors at lsdiodes.com , but im not sure if that is the right Vrating or not, nor which resistors to use. If you can help me out TIA! :attn:

they burned out? thats odd because leds when used at rated specs have a life of 5 years continous usage. heck i have things umpteen years old that still have their led's burning strong.
to answer your question you should only need led's any should work.
Can you email Antec to get the specs on the leds that they use? If so, you can probably just hook the led up to the existing power line for the burnt leds and be safe.

Measure the voltage currently being supplied....

measuring the voltage will probbly give you 5 volts, you need to hook a load up and use a amp meter to get the current. then measure voltage drop.
because 5 volts going throught a 1k resistor is still 5 volts after the resistor. if it wasent most digital circuits wouldent work.
