This morning my Dad got back from the US, and I'd asked him to try and get me some DDR, an 8K7A or KG7, and a 1.33 or 1.4GHz cpu. He couldn't get the RAM or mobo, but he bought back a 1.4GHz AYHJA chip! Wahey! I've just written a cheque out to him for £140, about what I'd have paid for a 1.33 AYHJA, so I'm preeetty chuffed :D

Shame the only cooling I have at the moment is my crappy generic-style Taisol hsf, as my watercooling is very much still a work in progress (still trying to stop leaks). I need that Glac to arrive, please God, let it come soon :(

I have been wondering how that stepping is at Overclocking. Clue us in when you get her up and running.

Best of luck to your overclock. My new 1.33 AYHJA 9 is humming along at 1700 as I type. I hope for similar results out of yours.

By the way what exactly does chuffed mean. I'm in the US and we don't hear slang like that. Stoked and Skookum come to mind as I think about our slang.

£140!!! You should have shopped around! VGI Computers in UK are selling an AYHJA 1.4Ghz for only £129 including VAT. You americans are even better of getting a 1.4Ghz for like £30-£35 cheaper than that!

Sorry if this seems like advertising mods, Im only telling the facts.

Hey, my first ever 'post in the wrong topic' - a big moment indeed. No idea how that happened :p

About the pricing - I checked around on Thursday and the cheapest I could find a 1.4gig (not even a gauranteed AYHJA) for was about £150. Then I checked Friday morning and Tekheads had them for £111. Um... my Dad had already bought it, but such is life - and I've got a 1.4gig AYHJA, I'm not gonna gripe about £30 :)

I think they all are but I'm not 100% sure - so I wasn't going to tell myself I had an AYHJA until I knew for sure, just in case I was disappointed.

I've heard of an AXIA or two from the early weeks of the 1.4's... otherwise all I've heard of was AHYJA or AHYJAR.

Now the 1 GHz AHYJAR.... that's the chip to have.....
