The 2nd comp in my sig has a Via MVP3 chipset. I have tried installing the 4in1 drivers that they say should work with this chipset, and after installation the computer always hangs once it gets to the windows loading screen. Uninstall the drivers, and the problem is gone. I wouldn't even bother with these, except for the fact that as with most Via chipsets, there are numerous errors and crashes without the proper drivers installed. The motherboard, a Shuttle Spacewalker HOT-591P originally came with a CD, but I am not the original owner so I do not have this. Any ideas how to find the correct drivers?? I have looked all over the web with no luck. :(

I have a computer with the Shuttle Hot 591P with an AMD K6-2 500 Mhz. I used this computer up until a few months ago. I always was able to update the motherboard drivers using the Via 4-in-one driver. Have you looked here:

Drivers:

BIOS:

Try using an older via 4in1. My Kt600 mobo took a turn for the worse after installing the latest via drivers. This is not new for me, my old ASUS(A7V133) would get ugly w/ new via drivers as well...my uncle has a via board and he get similar probs. It only seems to happen w/ the very latest via drivers.
It does not happen very often, but enough for me to shy away from new via drivers.

I have had both good and bad things with the via drivers in the past. But I agree the latest drivers my Epox kt600 board wasn't too excited about. Makes you wonder if they ever test these things. On the other hand, the via agp drivers did wonders on my bro's asus kt800 board. Before it was unplayable in farcry, now it just rocks.

Argh..this is a pain... I have installed drivers as old as the 4.28's and I still get the same problem. I really would like not to, but I am thinking I might just re-install windows, unless of course you guys have an amazing solution :)

I finally got it to work..I had to install every driver in the 4 in 1 except for the IRQ miniport routing driver. Install this one, and the problem comes right back. Is this an important driver that I should need and should work with my board?
