I currently have a p3 500 @ 560 "Overclocks very crapy" with 256mb pc 133 ram, Vodoo 4500, 13gig hd + 41 gig hd, and thinking of upgrading and probally gona spend about $700 canadian but realy is it worth it?. even if I buy a geforce 3 for like $500 canadian + $ 200 for AMD Processor + about $200 to $250 for new mobo + $100 for 256mb DDR RAM. That equals $1000 to $1050 Canadian ouch, or maybe I will buy a Xbox for about $500 Canadian and it would deliver much more performance than any super pc on the market would because of a # of reasons like
Dont have to wory about compabality issues
every game takes full advantage of Geforce 3
Every game is designed for the 1 system
I currenty use my pc for surfing Internet, playing Quake 3, watching all the divx movies I downloaded on my total of 55 Gigs of space yep thats about it I would play a few race games but my Vodoo 4 dont like need for speed porche unleashed some levels are unplayable + wont play leadfoot . So maybe I would be better off just getting xbox than upgrading? any suggestions?

I haven't seen a modern disc-based game console system in action. Judging by how good a cartridge N-64 looked five years ago, I'd be very tempted to go with the X-Box, or another dedicated gaming system.
In some ways, a game console is superior to a PC for gaming. For your PCing needs vs. your gaming needs, I think the X-Box(or the like) makes perfectly good sense.
If you can buy a x-box for 500 canadian thats a great price.
You can pre-order them from eb here on 9/1 for $499.95 us.

I always get board of consoles, usually onlytakes a few days to weeks depending on the game to get board of it. And yes there will always be new games for the console but eventually you will find its no fun to play by yourself, only with friends, and then not much later not even with friends is fun. This is what happend with me and my dreakcast, and my friend and hes playstation 2. Comp never gets old though :D

I do not know where you are getting your prices from, but they are high! I am in vancouver Canada
Check out the below and what it would cost you. The board I suggest is not highly overclockable but cost is awesome and they are superstable plus it is a ddr board that accepts sdram till you wanna buck up to ddr ram
1) $119 PC Chips 830LR(SiS735,audio,lan,f/m,2xddr,2xsdr) great chipset on this mobo and it is getting great reviews, sure it will become overclockable with future bios upgrades or for $205 MICROSTAR MS K7Master (AMD 761 ata100 Socket A) , I got a K7T266 Pro Raid MSI board for $200 flat smokin deal
2) $65 PC2100 256Mb DDR RAM CAS 2.5 (Hyundai)
3) $123 ATI Radeon LE AGP 32Mb DDR (highly overclockable with the hack) or for $195 a Microstar Geforce II GTS 32Mb AGP with TV out
4) $145 AMD Thunderbird 1133MHz 266 (AMS3C) (socket A) (OEM) or a 1333 for $179 OEM but 1133 will more than suffice
5) $62 ATX 375W Recommended Brand and Model by AMD
The above is a total of $514 Canadian with DDR ram and you do not even need to buy the ddr ram. You could get by with your 256 pc133 and use the savings towards Geforce II GTS card or diff mobo, then this setup would ONLY COST $449 + taxes. That in my opinion is dirt cheap!! I think pc is way more usefull tha a gaming machine and much more fun .....
My 2 cents worth......
Best luck in your choice but I think XBox will run closer to 6 bills here in Canada
