Will PCI-Express mean the end of new gpus built for agp tech?

Probably been explained in one of the many posts, but I can't seem to find a straight answer.

Has anyone read any posts by the big graphics companies (nvidia/ati) regarding it?

PCI - Express is the next generation after AGP, AGP will slowly fade out, but not for another 2 years i think...
