i'm looking to be putting together a new system over the next couple of days. i just thought i'd see what you guys think about it:

Products to be purchased from newegg
Intel Pentium 4/ 3.2C GHz 800MHz FSB, 512K Cache, Hyper Threading Technology - Retail
ASUS "P4P800-E Deluxe" i865PE Chipset Motherboard for Intel Socket 478 CPU -RETAIL
ANTEC Performance Plus Metallic Gray SOHO File Server Case without Power Supply, Model "PlusView1000AMG"
Antec 430W Power Supply, Model "TRUE430" -RETAIL
Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - Retail
SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP -RETAIL

Stuff I already have to throw in:
Western Digital 200 GB Caviar HD
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 w/ 6.1 speakers

this will be the fourth system i've built, but the first system that i'll try to OC. i don't want to do any major overclocking but just enough to get a little more power while keeping the system cool, which is why i went with the cpu, mobo, and case listed. i do a lot of multi-tasking with a little bit of gaming on the side. do you guys think this system would run pretty well? i'm open to any suggestions on replacing or adding anything you guys think would work better. from newegg, those products will cost about $950, but i'm willing to spend a little more.

i would go for a 3.0C if you wanna overclock. 3.2 isnt worth the money if ur an overclocker

with my setup.... would i be better going with:
Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - Retail (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-498&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE)
or
Corsair Value Select Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1G(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - OEM (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-480&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE)

Corsair XMS. Its one of the top brands you can buy. It will serve your computer well! MAybe you could consider AMD? The 64-bit processor will eat up anything you throw at it. Plus, if you would use this computer for gaming, AMD is the way to go. Curently, i think AMD64 is #1 in most benchmarks.

Maybe if you tell us what this will be used for, we can help you! The more info the better!

Well, AMD is not the strongest in video encoding and stuff like that. It will get the job done. Intel is the master at that! The Battle between Intel and AMD is close. I personly go with AMd for two reasons. I love gaming, and its cheaper!

Its up to you!
