I've got a celeron 800@1064 at 1.85v using an above average heatsink fan combo for amd and intel up to 1.3 ghz. The heatsink has a copper base and there is a big two ball bearing fan on top and I also put an extra fan on the side of the heatsink for extra cooling but the cpu seems too hot for me. Can't read the temps cause my probe is broken but just by touching the heatsink after using the computer for a while makes me feel how much heat is generated. I can tell you all that it's pretty hot. I think to buy a better cooling like a Volcano II or a peltier cooler. I don't know which one would be more worth it. By the way I want to run the processor at a Vcore of 2.10 . So which one would be better? Volcano II seems to be certified buy AMD up to 1.5 Ghz but the peltier would cool it down more. The problem is that I don't know how to deal with the condensation created buy the peltier. SO got any ideas of which cooling solution would be better? And how do I deal with the condensation?

id use a peltier and then use the Volcano it cool the peltier itself, or jsut buy a faster chip since the prices are wey low right now

i dont know how many wats of heat your cpu will be puting out at that voltage but if you find out multiply by 2 and that is the recomended rating pelt you should use. the next problem is will that size pelt be to hot for the volcane to cool. If the pelt has the potential to condense water i recomend going to the pelt section on overclockers.com website. most are similar but i found it helpful to read them all.

try an all copper heatsink such as the SK-6, Glaciator, or even the Gladiator. Shoud do you plenty. You would have to use a 72W pelt on that as you are putting out 39.7W of heat so any of the above three could easily cope with it. Heck, even a Thermoengine with a delta would be great. I think a pelt would be overkill unless you really want to go water cooling.
