Please help (Out of Range)?

This used to happen with my 9700 Pro and I never could figure out why. I just reformatted because I just got a 9800 Pro and I wanted a fresh install just like any other person. I got into xp, installed my nforce drivers, installed dx9, and then installed the latest catalyst 4.6 drivers. After the restart from the cat drivers, right when its supposed to show my login prompt, the monitor goes black and says "Out of Range" and then something like 120hz or something :bang head:. I can get into windows through safe mode but thats it. I tried going into safe mod, removing the drivers, then reinstalling them, but no luck with that. Please help me...in the meantime while I am waiting for replies I am searching on google and other forums. Thanks!

"Out of Range" usually refers to the refresh rate and in most cases is caused by applying settings without testing, in your case looks like 120hz.
I haven't had anything like this in along time, but as far as I remember it was sorted by booting to safe mode and turning the refresh down to 60-75hz and resolution to 1024x768 apply and reboot. This should atleast allow you to boot to desktop, from there you can then begin testing and applying your desired settings.

I tried this and still could not get it to work. So I uninstalled the cat 4.6's and went to the omega 4.5's. Thanks for the reply though.

remove the card too not just the drivers and set everything manually to vga card and 60 hz
