Great another thing to think about, people really don't need a virus when they are in the middle of no where with a flat tire. that just gravy i have a bluetooth phone also. the sad thing is that most people have to be within 33 meters (class b device) range in order to connect and transfer files to my phone.

I can see Every Virus ive see has not been Cool or Funny. There a Pain and annoying. And people that write them up to harm peoples computers and now Cell phones should be thrown in Prison

Yeah hey. I was gonna call you guys to tell ya about the phone virus thing but I got infected.

It would be kinda foolish for people to not realize that technology is not always safe. This is especially true if the tech is indeed *not* safe. In a market driven economy, it takes something of massive weight to get companies to fix problems. While hacking (in the black hat sense) and virus are indeed bad, they do bring light to the shortcommings of current technology and force needed change.

But hey, before you flame me, I don't want to get hit with a virus either. Virus = bad.

I tried to warn the bigwigs at Cingular that this kind of thing would come about when they started to offer packet based service on the phones but they didn't listen. They tried to tell me in a training class that it wasn't possible. I also told them that they would have problems with DoS attacks because of this also. I am glad I don't work for them now.

What i read is that it was a 'proof-of-concept' virus, meaning it doesnt actually do damage aside from killing your phone battery very fast.

Can't wait till everyone runs norton on there cellphone :D jk
