My aunt got me a FURY MAXX card last year (2 GPUs 64MB SDRAM)
And when I installed it on my 400 K6-III it didn't work: After I installed the drivers I had to restart, after restart it should've started with 256 colors, but it didn't just 16 if I tried to change that I had to restart and the computer started with 16 colors all over again. I have the same problem on my new Athlon, though it did work on P-III 500 and a celeron 600.

I noticed that when I run the installation program, after it copyies some files Windows has to build a database and it doesn't do that.

I tried this card on Win98/98SE/ME (win95 not supported) and had the same problem.

it may just be the drivers themselves. Try downloading some new drivers, you could prolly find some quick ones at www.downloads.com . Also make sure that the card didnt come overclocked, from whoever owned it earlier.

I got the newest drivers chipset patches nothing works. though on Intel systems not a problem, sent email to ATI, no answer yet.
The package wasn't opened when I got the card so no one played with it

I found that you have to install the latest mother board drivers b4 installing the ati drivers. If your motherboard has a VIA chipset make sure that the agp port driver is installed in standard and not turbo mode. The other thing to check is that the agp slot is running at x2 or x1 and not x4, in the BIOS. Also make sure that you have not got any other cards in PCI slot1. Hope this helps.:D
