Wow, I stopped playing WCIII when TFT came out. I wonder if anyone actually plays it anymore, my last few months of WCIII were all custom (mainly TD) games. Maybe I'll dig my copy up and steal my brother's TFT copy and actually play some time....maybe.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've played. I originally started w/ the Night Elves, but moved to the Orcs after TFT. Sorry, but the Shaman hero is the greatest! Best. Hero. Ever!

I can usually manage to get most people to at least play a few games of WCIII, but I have to pry most people away from CS to do that

I play ladder occasionally but since 1.15 lvl means nothing, since matching is based on win % and not lvl...

Plus for UD u need destroyers to have a chance but at the same time they are cheap and waaay too powerful. So your in trouble if your up against a competent UD player...

i agree wayyyyyyyyyyyy to many smurfs and UD is kinda powerful, they need to balance it out, i am a orc player i have to do crazy stuff just to win games

I used to play ladder matches all the time, but I moved into only custom games. IMO their a lot more fun than the repetitive 1v1s. Wintermaul wars is the map i usually play, i made my own edited version with some new races, shorter round timer, 99 lives etc. I haven't played the 'normal' game before 1.14

The primary reason that I stopped playing online after the first 3 weeks or so, was 'cause that was when the torrent of stupid ****** players flooded onto the battle.net. Cheaters, rushers, and people who would hide stuff and make a general nusance of themselves while playing.

I remember the early days when I played. People were respectable, made good strategies and played until the last building was destroyed. They complemented eachother on battles and stuff. It was cool.

They got rid of the "lets build a house in some trees way off map so that no one can raze the last building and will leave because they cannot find it strategy" by making it so that you must build a new HQ within a time limit unless you wish to lose. Anyways, WCIII isn't too strategetic really, because weather doesn't effect you etc. Get a more serious RTS like Rise of Nations, etc. I also hate ****** players, remember to always TK asshats :D.

I played online once. That was the last time. All they did was make fun of me because I didnt know what I was doing. My own team member and the other two people I was playing with were just going to kill me off then have at it. Maybe I should try again.

That's anothing thing. One time, I was playing 3v3 and one of my teammates didn't know how to play. So I told him what to build. It took 2 minutes to tell him what to do, and it won us the game.

If there is somebody on your team who doesn't know how to play, you should tell him what to build. 'cause in the end, even if he just ends up making footies, they're still better than Peons w/ axes, y'know?

the new AAM or the match making system of fubar right now. chances are you gonna get a abuser on your team. how they abuse it is they will loose like 200 games in team games and then ladder solo and face all the uber noobs so they dont face any real comp and get higher level 1v1 or vice versa

Leave it to the people on the Battle.net to figure out how to screw the system.

Remember that quote from Star Wars, about how Mos Eisley is a hive of scum and villany? Just apply that to the Battle.net

I still play WC3 but not ladder games. I recently joined a DOTA clan and have been playing it like crazy. Its a lot of fun. Look for me on bnet as Stealth-Neo especially if you play DOTA

hey rezman, I used to play DOTA a bunch but I got annoyed with people leaving if they got a bad hero or if they died a bunch. Does your clan play private games so that doesn't happen? And if so, think I could join? :)

I bought warcraft 3 2 weeks after it was realeased in england because its an awsome game for dialup. Later bought the expansion one year later when it came out. I was level 26 solo then when i moved to California with my new broadband connection and i got into CS and its friends. Slowly stopped playing :( and also the new AMM system is just rediculous. Nowadays, i play a game now and i remember why i stopped playing. at least 4-10mins to find a 2v2 RT, 5-15mins to find a 3v3 and 4v4 i give up. I quit playing solo cos the AMM matched me against level 45's straight. Very good game though.
Best race = UD. Fiends /w DK, coil abuse is just gg. you cannot beat. Your micro the fiends and coil them and the enemy cant win.

Warcraft 3 is all about micromanagement and APM (actions per minute) if you are fast at building and can move your wounded units out of battle fast and heal them, you stand a very very high chance to win :)

I remember once i was 1v4 cos my allies died and i managed to win cos i did hit and runs on the enemies without loosing a single fiend cos of coil. took out one players main hall and got up to frost wyrms. From there it was GG
:)
Have fun :)

My account on lordearon is uke-micro-manic, but i have decay'd my xp pretty bad :( down to level 18 solo and 21 team :( was 28solo 32rt.
