I have a couple battlefield 1942 questions.

1. What is the easiest way to turn on an airplane.
2. can you have multiple controllers like using a joystick just for flying the planes and your keyboard for everything else.
3. Is there anyway to change the bot names in the singleplayer mode?
4. How do you navigate inside a building?
5. With the machine in my signiture how much faster can you guess the load up of the battleies will be compared to a Sony 2.6ghz with 512mb of ram and a 64mb grafics card.
6. is there anyway to stop that annoying movie at the begining?

2. yes, just plug them in, and set them up through the options

4. Not much to do but memorize the layout
5. Faster, but it depends a lot on the hd speed of the slower computer
6. Either add +restart 1 to the end of the shortcut, or delete all the files in the battlefield 1942\movies directory.

6. are you sure? i read someware that if you add +restart 1 or something it would go without the movie

thanks for all your other awnsers. i will try tonight and see if i can do multiple controllers for airplanes and i thought i saw a mod to change the bot names i guess not.

2- Maybe it's you monitor check the brighness and gamma(it's not dark when I play)

If you don’t want to view the intro movie every time the game starts up, you can disable this by making a space after bf1942.exe and typing +restart 1. The easiest way to do this is by right-clicking on the Battlefield 1942 icon and selecting Properties. Your modification should look something like this: “E:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe” +restart 1

that is how u do it. i got that from http://bf1942.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=4508 with other tons of bf1942 tweaks.

I use a keyboard, for flying and im awsome in it, specially in DC hehe, if you have a cheap keyboard with that sticky keything where u cant only push 3 buttons at a time and the 4th wont work then u need a expensive keyboard or a joystick.

Yeah you can turn it off. Right click your shortcut>properties
add +restart 1 to the target outside of the quotation marks.

Try Desert Combat, the free mod www.desertcombat.com , which makes BF so much better.

that doesn't stop the EA and Dice intros though.

I just delete the movies from the install folder. Works for me ;)

I relpaced them with .txt files of the same name, and changed the .txt to the .whatever file format those movies are in, it just skips to the menu!
