I have an old Socket 7 computer with both EDO simm slots and SDRAM dimm slots. The thing I don't know is what kind of speed do I need. I've tried reading the posts, but I can't seem to comprehend the speed thing. Like pc#### and so on... please tell me...

will new one's work? and just read the minimum speed..???

thanks

Find out what the CPU is and then you can find out what the FSB is and then you can find out what ram you need for that FSB.

You do not want any pcxxxx... That is DDR and is a different socket format.

What is the make/model of your motherboard? From that we can find out what your RAM capacity is. :)

You want PC66 RAM then... Use www.froogle.com to find some, and make sure you order from a reputable site. www.computergeeks.com may be a good place to order from, but let me know what the make and model is of your motherboard first, so I can make sure you get the right pin configuration.

I don't know what make and model my board is.. how do I find that out? I got it for free from this computer store I go to.. the guy just had it lying around. I have looked but can't find anything that might give away it's identity... sigh...
is pc66 rare?? how rare??? can I just put PC 133 or someting??? it is SDRAM dims just to let you know of the pin settings... and I don't know if PC#### is good for that... cuz isn't that for DDRAM???thanks...
