Watch out now! EOC and Overclocking.com are joining forces to try to take us down! Too much voltage and too little cooling will do that to an overclocker! :lol: Keep on folding on!

I put up a post at overclockers.ca inviting them to join us. Maybe one of the other ten members will join us.

Well for what its worth, I made a promiss (for some asistance he offered)to a guy on Team MAC OS X, and my new farm and it's 5500ppw is folding for them...I do have a MAC and I do use OS X......, but we can't afford to take this lightly, EOC is contributing roughly 50K per day, if they doubled their membership they could be contributing 100K/day and even though we have a big point lead, that would be knocking on our door.....just like ALliance francophone is knoocking.....yes we should recurit some of the smaller team to join us...a new recruitment goal

We tried that and it didn't work all that well... :( . I say we should target other computer-related forums, thats the only way. Some that perhaps don't have a team already because I know if I was loyal to my team, I might not want to join up under a new team name and all.

Hey fellas, I really don't think you all have anythign to fear from us. Our goal is to overtake the MAC team right now. You all are way in teh future, if ever. Even if we doubled our output, you would still outproduce us. That's a hell of an effort you all have going. Rather than starting some flame wars (like those that got ignited over at overclockering.com) I want to commend all of you on the folding you are doing. We at EOC are only interested in friendly competition, and you guys deserve a pat on the back. Drop by the EOC forums once in a while and leave a line or two. We'd liek to hear from you guys.

my aunt's gettin me an internship at NASA next summer, but here comes the question...would the mars rover be able to recieve and send a WU...more importantly, would folding affect it's battery life... ^^

I wouldn't want to join forces really just for the points... I'd like to have our points reflect the work we have done building and borging and recruiting our own, not really just other forums that we have gotten to start. I think its good bringing other people to folding, but other forums could fold under their own teams and I would be happy. :)

I'd like to beat teh [H] with our own powah. :D

If you've been reading the overclocking.com forum about this, all I can say is that I AM glad with have rules and reg and mods and admins(as MOST QUALITY FORUMS DO) that DO NOT allow the craxxxx that goes on over at that forum......it's like a free for all say what you want, bash who you want, bunch of childish, smartaxxed, egostistical, foul-mouthed hooligans I've ever seen. Viper from EOC has even made comments about the "flamewar" actions at ocing.com and even advised them to "act accordingly at the EOC forums. Not everyone at ocing.com is that way as there are a couple of good guys there...but I quit posting there as their forum just grates against me as a torn under the saddle.......

EDIT: I have edited this post due to my agreeing with j_rok that it was unnecessary. I was angry at the time I made the statements that have been removed, and now that I have cooled off I realize that it was unfair to him to post what was previously here. I hope you don't let what I said influence your opinion of j_rok. While my feelings regarding the incident have not changed very much, that does not justify my post. j_rok is a good man at heart; of that I can assure you. We just didn't see eye-to-eye on how things should have gone down. I hope you guys understand.

On a side not, it seems likely that we will also be losing another of our top folders, Real_Beast, as it has been indicated to me that he has decided to abandon the team as well as a result of the situation with the mods. This is unfortunate for our team, but we will continue to fold and hopefully be very productive in the coming months. Best of luck to you guys.

Oh, and papsomax, i want you to know that I am chill with you. What went on at overclocking.com is beyond my control and I hope you don't think it reflects generally on myself or other members there, as many of them are good guys. Regarding my asking them to be more conservative at our forum, that was obviously warranted considering the situation that presently involves the forum, but my main worry was that people would respond to teh j-rok incident in a manner that woudl get them banned. Now that this has coooled off, I am much less concerned.

Drop by once ina while fellas. We are competing, but remember we are all on teh same team here. Happy folding!

No prob here viper...............there were 2, maybe 3 individuals there that just became really anal and belligerent(they must be ANTIMACFANATICS), which in-turn pushed me to my limit and is why I laid into them (which I usually do not do)....I like forums like ours, yours, TeamMACOSX, and others that have rules, regs and are monitored by mods and admins...not the free-4-all style over there.....I did join your forum to check you guys out and for a little let's say recruitment.............sorry but I'm an opportunist and if I see 2 good folders leave a team, then I want them to come here...........or at least give it a try

Well, it's realllllyyy getting deep over at ocing.com! They cunning plan is to borg some major u.s. insurance companies pc's to get that 66KGHz! OCAU has ~6200+GHz, me doubts very much that ocing.com be allowed to borg that many pc's as look what we have tried to do with large compnay borgs...........on the other hand if for some reason they do pull it off........we would need a lot more borgs

His name was j-rok, and what he did in response to the mods was gutless and wrong. He abandoned his team, showing no loyalty whatsoever, and ironically it was the team that was standing up for him.

That sucks, but for me, my loyalty to folding and to the forum are true, but seperate. If one stopped and the other stayed, I would be a little annoyed but life goes on.
