Ok, I've read all these stickies, and faqs and guides, and seen pictures..but I'm still unclear of how you attache the cooling block to the cpu. Anyone have some pictures or a good description? Does it clamp? Does it just rest on it? Do you put thermal paste between the two?

What's the deal-E yo.

most blocks come with a long screw, bolts and a spring.
u basicly use the force of the springs to apply pressure on the cpu.

great info and pic, it looks similar to installing a heatsink. Do I have to get under the board and install a bracket?

first installation, yes u do have to.
u can put the screw head on the back of the board, like i did, and remove the block and put it back on w/o removing the motherboard.

one other thing...do you put thermal paste between the block and the cpu?
