I have used Spybot before version 1.2, and last night I upgraded to version 1.3. Thats when the problems with it started, sometimes it finds more or less spyware and it does NOT remove it. The webpage also is not working for me. Someone please help me.

It seems like I've tried all of the Spyware removal programs including SpyBot, but I always had the same problems you're having. Now I just reformat whenever I accumulate too much spyware on an harddrive.

could be that the spyware is currently in memory and in use, so can't be deleted. There should be an option to run spybot on a reboot, before windows fully loads. Hope that helps.

I also use spybot and spy sweeper (it's free also). Maybe download them and try to see if they can clean it if you can't find the setting to clean on reboot.

EDIT - you can also try booting into safe mode and run spybot then and see if it works.

Another suggestion would be to run the Spybot in Safe Mode to ensure that nothing is loaded into memory as already suggested. This will help you track down your problems a little more easily maybe.

Ok thank you, I will try those suggestions.

Also check your hosts file for bogus entries which could prevent you from reaching anti spyware sites and from updating your anti spyware tools.
