I've heard from my friend that there are 2 versions of Thermalright SK6, is that right?

He told me that there are the SK6C and SK6CG. The SK6C is the ordinary one and the SK6CG is a gold plated, isn'y iy?

Also, is SK6 even better than Swiftech MC462A? How's SK6's performance compared with the CAK38?

Forgot to add that I'm looking for a new HSF to replace my Kanie-238M w/ Delta. It'll be used with TBird 1.2GHz.

don't know about the two versions. The main difference is the fan. You want the one with delta. The Sk-6 with delta is better than the 462-A but not as good as the 462 with the Delta Focused flow.

Yes there are 2 versions of the SK-6

None of them are gold plated

There is a SK-6 and an AMD approved SK-6ab

The diference between the two is that the SK-6 is all copper and wieghs 330 grams (over the limit for AMD approval). And the SK-6ab has copper fins soldered to an aluminium base and wieghs 230 grams.

The best choice you can make is investing in the all copper SK6.

Be sure to set the delta 38cfm fan on her and I Know for sure heat will become your last concern on your system.....
