I recently baught a new case and motherboard. I put in the motherboard into the case, screw everything down, stick in the RAM and flick the power switch.

Now, I get no POST error beeps and my HDD/Power LEDs are not showing up.
The motherboard is a PC Chips Syntax SKT A AGP using Via KT266 chipset. The manual it came with is getting more confusing I look at.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

1. Clear CMOS

2. Check to make sure the CPU is seated correctly and the heatsink is making contact.

3. If you have a 12v. line on the power supply and your motherboard has a connector for it..make sure it is pugged in. If not then you CPU is not getting the nec. power.

The CPU is seated correctly and the heatsink is deffinatly making contact. Clear CMOS? The mobo has never been used before so... :o Could it be faulty RAM?
