I just picked up a celeron 800 and it run 1.12g@1.75v (wich is default voltage)With 140 fsb. I cant get it to post at 150 fsb and there are no fsb's inbetween. My system is 100%stable at 150fsb with my p3 in it so its not that. What the fastest cpu a p3v4x can run? Could it be the board cant go to 1200MHz? And i tried all the way up to 2.1v and no post at 150 fsb.

Hi Ratinfested, wellcome to the Forum,
what are your chip temps?

30c idle
45c full load
I was a member bfore but it was back when all the posts were on one page.

All chips are made different. You probably got one that doesn't overclock as much as others

Your temps are good,
I think that you've got everything from your chip, you know the standard fsb is 100Mhz and you are @140Mhz, probably you can go just a little over, but 150Mhz is too much and you can't set nothing between 140-150Mhz.
Do you've just looked into the cpu database about your C2?

Im just wondering if the p3v4x can do 1200MHz

I think is your chip, not the Mobo, you've just got a Great OC!

Well the board has 8 mulitys and a bus of 133 that equals 1064, so this would be what the board is rated for but 8x150= 1200, so I would guess the board can hit 1200 under these circumstances.

I agree with everyone else, you have a great OC there and you may have hit the limit of that chip.

WOW! Great OC! I can't get past 992/1.75V stable right now. Best I've ever done is 1066/ 1.85V. I'm really hesitant to go past that Vcore. I'm pretty much in agreement with the others on this one. You may have hit your CPU's limit.

Set the voltage, reboot into the o/s and then bump up the fsb. The voltage on the p3v4x doesn't reset until after it posts for some reason (well, it doesn't on mine anyway). I got my cel 800 to post at 1200 late one night, but my hd card couldn't take the 150fsb and it just locked. But i did get it there, these are really sweet chips aren't they?

My 850 runs @ 1133 @ 1.8Vcore and gets under full load about 47C. It then hangs. I'm even using a Peltier (should get a higher one than the 52W I have now) but still is is hanging. damnit!
