Everytime i try to open firefox i get this error "The procedure entry point ??_7nsAutoString@@6B@ could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll" how do i fix it?

Try uninstalling firefox, and upgrading to the newest version, to see if that helps.

Also check google to see what the xpcom.dll is for. It could be something that was missing from the install for some reason, or it could be windows realted. I really don't know.

I believe that error is from trying to install over a previous version, get the latest and install to a new directory.

could this be a stability error? or is there another piece of software that you have running that could cause this?

ok, then its time to do some troubleshooting. reboot, and start in safe mode with networking, and try to start firefox up. if it opens, then you need to go through, and find out which program is causing the problem, one by one. if it doesnt, maybe try reverting to an earlier release. or mozilla even, they need beta testers.
